Excellent tour

We booked Antonella and were very pleased we did. We were two couples, one repeat visitors and the other first time. She spoke excellent English and provided not only information on the tourist attractions but life in Venice. Venice Tour

My first time in Venice and and I wanted to make good use of my time. Antonella was a great guide ! She was easy to understand, very knowlegable and provided as much history as you could want. The reservation system was easy. You definatly want to wear confortable walking shoes and have a camera.

Wonderful walking tour through the heart of Venice

I booked a private walking tour with Antonella for a group of 12. Antonella was very flexible with accommodating our preferred date and time for the tour, and route we wanted to take. We started the tour in St Mark's Square and Antonella organized for our group to gain access to the Basicilla, rather than wait in the long queue. Having a guide here was great, or we would have missed seeing little interesting details and facts that were pointed out to us. We then wandered through the backstreets of Venice to finish at the Rialto. The tour was very informative without being too facts-and-figures heavy, and we enjoyed the leisurely pace of the tour. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Venice who wants to learn with a friendly and personable guide, vs the bigger tour companies who have dozens of people crowded around them. Antonella from Discovering Venice has led our small groups to Venice on several occasions. She is a wonderful guide who is so obviously passionate about her city and loves to share this with visitors. Her walking tours are filled with history and stories which really make this most stunning area of Italy come alive.
She has organised a wonderful Grand Canal private boat tour for us which was truly amazing and a great way to really get a 'feel' for the city as all of the most magnificent palaces are right on the water and difficult to view on foot.
